The Inventory and Fulfillment Specialist is responsible for managing inventory accuracy, coordinating order fulfillment activities, and supporting efficient warehouse and shipping operations. This role ensures timely and accurate receipt, storage, tracking, packing, and shipment of materials and products while maintaining organized inventory records and supporting cross-functional operational needs. The ideal candidate is flexible, organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming inventory and shipments
- Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and reconciliations
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer and internal orders for shipment
- Coordinate domestic and international shipping activities
- Generate shipping labels, packing slips, and related documentation
- Monitor inventory levels and notify management of shortages or discrepancies
- Organize and maintain warehouse, stockroom, and storage areas
- Ensure materials are stored safely and handled properly
- Work with purchasing, operations, manufacturing, and customer support teams to fulfill order requirements
- Assist with returns processing and inventory adjustments
- Track shipments and resolve shipping or delivery issues as needed
- Support continuous improvement initiatives for inventory and fulfillment processes
- Follow company safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred
- 2+ years of inventory, warehouse, logistics, or fulfillment experience preferred
- Experience with inventory management systems or ERP software
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift and move materials consistent with warehouse operations requirements
- Experience with shipping platforms such as FedEx, UPS, or DHL
- Experience in manufacturing, technology, aerospace, or electronics environments
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification
- Familiarity with cycle counting and inventory control procedures
Work Environment
- Office setting within a manufacturing facility.
- Frequent interaction with production floor personnel.
- Will require walking on the production floor (PPE required as applicable).
